libdmalloc-dev software package provides debug memory allocation library (development files and doc), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdmalloc-dev
libdmalloc-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdmalloc-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdmalloc-dev *
You will get with libdmalloc-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
